Brunch Blues

There’s a restaurant where I live that I’ve always wanted to try. It had such a beautiful vibe with its leather furnishings and rustic interiors, I always made a mental note, I will dine here one of these days. Around spring 2026, I had an opportunity to dine at Bosscat Kitchen & Libations as a content creator. And I got to try their brunch menu, which featured less than $20 menu items and $5-$7 drinks (I know, it was such a good deal).

The day I visited with my boyfriend, Brian, we had gotten a wide selection of their menu items. But what stood out to me was the Blueberry Monster - a french-toast styled Hawaiian sweet bread, topped with loads of blueberry and cream. It was absolutely decadent. As a lover of Hawaiian bread, this of course brought back memories of home as it was always a treat to eat.

This dish was also a large portion and we ended up taking it home! Brian and I looked forward to heating it up as an after meal treat, it was so yummy. I was amazed with the balance of flavors I loved my experience here so much that my friends and I went back as patrons…and yes, we got the Blueberry Monster to share.
