Curiosity: A Love Language

Dear Gourmie,

There are infinite ways people show and express love, and I’ve always been intrigued with how these translate and transmute from one person to another. There is a popular trope that is artfully expressed at the moment and it’s depth is quite popular in mainstream media: yearning. I am most especially fond of this as a Mr. Darcy kind of gal because that hand-flex was transcendent! On the other hand (no pun intended), some people love by grand gestures, through art, music, and writing. But there is a love that come a little ways before yearning, a quiet way to show I care to know who you are, and that is curiosity.

As you know by now, if you’ve been perusing The Gourmie site, the word curiosity will show up in different places. I want to explore my belief that curiosity is one of the best ways to honor someone we love.
